Size and weight
The two devices differ in their dimensions. The smaller a loudspeaker is, the more practical it is in use, of course.

Both speakers are waterproof. Both the Sony SRS-XB43 and the Sony SRS-XB33 are certified with IP67.
Bluetooth
The built-in Bluetooth is identical to version 5.0 for both devices. A newer Bluetooth version offers a better stability in the connection. Thus also a higher comfort in the application is given.
Both devices also have NFC installed. This allows a simple connection to the playback device.
Powerbank
In this comparison, both devices can be used as power banks. With the Powerbank function, other devices can be charged via USB using the speaker. Of course, this is at the expense of the battery life of the speaker.

Connecting multiple speakers
Both speakers offer the possibility to connect two devices and use them as a stereo system.
