Both speakers are waterproof. The JBL GO 2 is certified with IPX7. With the Sony SRS-XB33 a IP67 certification is present.

The built-in Bluetooth differs in the versions. The JBL GO 2 has Bluetooth version 4.1 installed. At the Sony SRS-XB33 the newer version 5.0 is integrated. A newer Bluetooth version offers a better stability in the connection. Thus also a higher comfort in the application is given.
