Let's have a look at the differences between the Sony SRS-XB32 and the Sony SRS-XB33. The speaker SRS-XB32 of Sony is from the year 2019. Thus, the device is older than the Sony SRS-XB33 with the year of publication 2020.
Size and weight
The two devices differ in their dimensions. The smaller a loudspeaker is, the more practical it is in use, of course.

Bluetooth
The built-in Bluetooth differs in the versions. The Sony SRS-XB32 has Bluetooth version 4.2 installed. At the Sony SRS-XB33 the newer version 5.0 is integrated. A newer Bluetooth version offers a better stability in the connection. Thus also a higher comfort in the application is given. The range is the Sony SRS-XB32 up to 10,0 m.
Both devices also have NFC installed. This allows a simple connection to the playback device.
Powerbank
In this comparison, both devices can be used as power banks. With the Powerbank function, other devices can be charged via USB using the speaker. Of course, this is at the expense of the battery life of the speaker.
Leistung
The performance is the Sony SRS-XB32 at 2 x 6 Watt. The Sony SRS-XB33 has a power of 2 x 8 Watt. At the Sony SRS-XB32 we find a driver with 48 mm.
Lichteffekte
Both speakers have light effects. This has no effect on the sound. The light show is only for visual purposes. The light effects are in color for both.
Connecting multiple speakers
Both speakers offer the possibility to connect two devices and use them as a stereo system.
Some speakers can be connected to several others and played together. This is usually called party mode. The difference to stereo connection is that all devices play the same thing. With stereo connection there is only one channel at a time. When comparing the Sony SRS-XB32 and the Sony SRS-XB33 both devices can do this.
