Where are the differences?

Let's have a look at the differences between the JBL GO 2 and the JBL Xtreme 3.

Size and weight

The two devices differ in their dimensions. The smaller a loudspeaker is, the more practical it is in use, of course.

  • JBL GO 2: 8.6 cm x 3.16 cm x 7.12 cm
  • JBL Xtreme 3: 13.6 cm x 29.8 cm x 13.4 cm
With 184 g the JBL GO 2 of JBL is lighter than the JBL Xtreme 3, which weighs 1968 g. This makes the JBL GO 2 more practical for transport.

Battery

The battery life is shorter with the JBL GO 2 with up to 5,0 hours than with the JBL Xtreme 3. There the battery life is up to 15,0 hours. In practice, the specification of the battery life can often be somewhat lower, since the manufacturers specify the maximum possible performance. The loading time does not differ for the two devices and is 2,5 hours. The battery capacity at the JBL GO 2 with 730 mah is lower than at the JBL Xtreme 3, where the capacity is 10000 mah.

Waterproof

Bluetooth

The built-in Bluetooth differs in the versions. The JBL GO 2 has Bluetooth version 4.1 installed. At the JBL Xtreme 3 the newer version 5.1 is integrated. A newer Bluetooth version offers a better stability in the connection. Thus also a higher comfort in the application is given.
