Where are the differences?

Let's have a look at the differences between the Sony SRS-XB22 and the Sony SRS-XB32.

Size and weight

The two devices differ in their dimensions. The smaller a loudspeaker is, the more practical it is in use, of course.

With 540 g the Sony SRS-XB22 of Sony is lighter than the Sony SRS-XB32, which weighs 900 g. This makes the Sony SRS-XB22 more practical for transport.

Battery

The battery life is shorter with the Sony SRS-XB22 with up to 12,0 hours than with the Sony SRS-XB32. There the battery life is up to 24,0 hours. In practice, the specification of the battery life can often be somewhat lower, since the manufacturers specify the maximum possible performance.

Waterproof

Both speakers are waterproof. Both the Sony SRS-XB32 and the Sony SRS-XB22 are certified with IP67.

Bluetooth

The built-in Bluetooth is identical to version 4.2 for both devices. A newer Bluetooth version offers a better stability in the connection. Thus also a higher comfort in the application is given. The range of both speakers is up to 10,0 m.

Connecting multiple speakers

Both speakers offer the possibility to connect two devices and use them as a stereo system.
