Both speakers are waterproof. The Sony SRS-XB12 is certified with IP67. With the Teufel Boomster GO a IPX7 certification is present.

With Bluetooth version 4.2 the Sony SRS-XB12 has a newer version than the Teufel Boomster GO. There we have Bluetooth of the version 4.0. At the Sony SRS-XB12 you have NFC, which allows you to easily connect to the playback devices.
Powerbank
With the Powerbank function, other devices can be charged via USB using the speaker. Of course, this is at the expense of the battery life of the speaker.

Connecting multiple speakers
In contrast to the Sony SRS-XB12 the Teufel Boomster GO offers the possibility to connect two speakers and use them as a stereo system.
Some speakers can be connected to several others and played together. This is usually called party mode. The difference to stereo connection is that all devices play the same thing.
