The two vacuuming robots of the Roborock brand differ in a few ways. Let's take a look at the differences between the Roborock S7* and Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra* in comparison.

For the comparison of the two vacuum cleaner robots it is of course the age of the models interesting. After all, every year there is new technology. The products were introduced in two consecutive years. The Roborock S7 was introduced in the year 2021. Thus the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is newer from the year 2022.
Which robot vacuum cleaner is falcher?
When it comes to the technical specifications of a robot vacuum cleaner, height is especially important. Robot vacuums with a lower height can clean better under furniture, as they can better drive under cabinets or even the couch. The Roborock S7 and the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra have an identical device height of 9.6 cm and thus do not differ in the point of height.
Vacuum power comparison
The suction power depends on the maximum suction force. This is specified in Pascal (short: pa). In this point there is a difference in the comparison Roborock S7 vs Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra offers higher suction power in comparison with 5100 pa. This makes it the better vacuum robot in this point. However, the suction power is lower depending on the suction level. The maximum suction power is always indicated. With the Roborock S7 you get a suction power of 2500 pa.
Does the battery performance differ?
The battery life is identical for both units with 3,0 hours. The longer the battery life, the longer the robot vacuum can clean at a stretch without having to return to its charging station. If you have many square meters, a longer battery life is always better. Thus, neither the Roborock S7, nor the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is the winner here.
What can the apps do?
Numerous vacuum robots can now be programmed and also controlled via apps. Adjustable are, for example, premises, maps as well as running times. Some suction robots can then be started conveniently on the go. For both vacuum robots, the Roborock S7 and the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, there is an App. Here both vacuum cleaners work with the same app: Roborock. However, this does not necessarily mean that the functions are identical. Often, manufacturers only unlock new functions for newer vacuum robots. Both vacuum robots allow zone cleaning via the app. Thus, only certain areas are cleaned without having to set up additional obstacles.
Voice control
Many robotic vacuum cleaners can now be controlled by voice assistants, allowing for convenient operation.
The two vacuum robots can be operated with Amazon's Alexa voice control. Neither device can be controlled using Google's voice assistant (Google Assistant).
Is there a wipe function?
In addition to the pure suction function, some vacuum robots also have an integrated wiping function. This combines two devices in one and the cleaning performance is significantly increased - not to mention the time saved. The models are then called suction-wiping robots.
The both vacuum robots can feature an integrated wiping function and are thus both wiping robots. Both devices work with vibrations at the wiping plate. This is to realize scrubbing, which removes dirt better and leads to a better cleaning result. The pure wiping function without vibration has not shown good cleaning result in most suction-wiping robots. Basically, the mop is just dragged across the floor.
As soon as a carpet is detected, both vacuum cleaners raise the wiper and continue the clean vacuuming process. Thus, the ponds do not need to be cleared away. This provides a lot of convenience.
The water tank of the Roborock S7 has a larger capacity with 300 ml than that of the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra with only 200 ml. This is an advantage for Roborock S7.
Which vacuum motor has the larger collection tank?
Since the collection bin of the Roborock S7 with 470 ml has a larger capacity compared to the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, it can hold more dirt. Thus, the dust chamber of the S7 needs to be emptied less frequently. The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra has a dust bin with 400 ml capacity.
It should be noted, however, that a suction station for self-drainage is available for both suction robots from the comparison. This automatically empties the vacuum cleaner after the cleaning process during recharging and collects the dirt. The dust chamber on the robot vacuum itself thus needs to be emptied less often. The suction station is usually included with the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. With the Roborock S7, the station must usually be purchased additionally.
