Roborock Q7 Max+ vs S6 - Where are the differences?
Where are the differences?
The two vacuuming robots of the Roborock brand differ in a few ways. Let's take a look at the differences between the Roborock Q7 Max+* and Roborock S6* in comparison.
release date (release)
The age of the two vacuum cleaner robots is of course interesting in the comparison. After all, there are changes in technology every year. There are 3 years between the releases of the two models. The Roborock Q7 Max+ was launched in the year 2022. Thus, the Roborock S6 is older with the year of release 2019.
Which robot vacuum cleaner is falcher?
When it comes to the technical specifications of a robot vacuum cleaner, height is especially important. Robot vacuums with a lower height can clean better under furniture, as they can better drive under cabinets or even the couch. The Roborock Q7 Max+ and the Roborock S6 have an identical device height of 9.6 cm and thus do not differ in the point of height.
Vacuum power comparison
The vacuum power is decisive for the suction power and is specified in Pascal (pa). In comparison, Roborock Q7 Max+ vs Roborock S6, the Roborock Q7 Max+ with 2000 pa has a higher suction power and thus performs better. The suction power of the Roborock S6 is 2000 pa. This is the suction power at the highest suction level, i.e. the maximum suction power. The higher it is, the better a robot vacuum cleaner can suck.
Does the battery performance differ?
The battery life is identical for both units with 3,0 hours. The longer the battery life, the longer the robot vacuum can clean at a stretch without having to return to its charging station. If you have many square meters, a longer battery life is always better. Thus, neither the Roborock Q7 Max+, nor the Roborock S6 is the winner here.
What can the apps do?
Numerous vacuum robots can now be programmed and also controlled via apps. Adjustable are, for example, premises, maps as well as running times. Some suction robots can then be started conveniently on the go. For both vacuum robots, the Roborock Q7 Max+ and the Roborock S6, there is an App. Here both vacuum cleaners work with the same app: Roborock. However, this does not necessarily mean that the functions are identical. Often, manufacturers only unlock new functions for newer vacuum robots. Both vacuum robots allow zone cleaning via the app. Thus, only certain areas are cleaned without having to set up additional obstacles.
Voice control
Many robotic vacuum cleaners can now be controlled by voice assistants, allowing for convenient operation.
The two vacuum robots can be operated with Amazon's Alexa voice control. The Roborock Q7 Max+ has voice control with Google Assistant, unlike the Roborock S6.
Is there a wipe function?
In addition to the pure suction function, some vacuum robots also have an integrated wiping function. This combines two devices in one and the cleaning performance is significantly increased - not to mention the time saved. The models are then called suction-wiping robots.
The both vacuum robots can feature an integrated wiping function and are thus both wiping robots.
If the Roborock Q7 Max+ detects a carpet, the unit raises the squeegee and only vacuums. This way, there is no need to clear the carpets before mopping. The Roborock S6 does not have this advantage.
The water tank of the Roborock Q7 Max+ has a larger capacity with 350 ml than that of the Roborock S6 with only 140 ml. This is an advantage for Roborock Q7 Max+.
Which vacuum motor has the larger collection tank?
The dust chamber of the Roborock Q7 Max+ with 470 ml is smaller than that of the Roborock S6 with 480 ml. The larger the dirt collection bin, the less frequently it needs to be emptied. So the larger capacity in the dust bin is an advantage for the Roborock S6.
For the Roborock Q7 Max+* there is an additional suction station for self-drainage. This empties the collection container, which means you have to remove the dirt less often. There is no suction station for the Roborock S6.
