Polar Verity Sense vs Wahoo TICKR Fit - Where are the differences?
Where are the differences?
Let's take the heart rate sensors Polar Verity Sense* and Wahoo TICKR Fit* in the comparison and look at the differences more closely.
Heart rate measurement
In both cases we have an optical measurement. This technology is considered less accurate than the ECG technology, which usually comes in combination with the chest measurement.
With both devices the sensor is worn on the arm. This occurs most often with optical sensors.
Connection options
Bluetooth has become a very popular option for connecting heart rate sensors and pulse belts. Both the Polar Verity Sense and the Wahoo TICKR Fit offer this. The connection via Bluetooth is mostly used for cell phones or fitness watches. Some new devices in fitness studios also offer Bluetooth as an option.
The standard ANT+ less known. However, it is often used in the field of sports. Some finte watches, especially from Garmin and Polar, support the form of the connection. In comparison between the Polar Verity Sense and the Wahoo TICKR Fit you get ANT+ with both.
You have to do without 5kHz, also known as Gymlink, for both heart rate sensors. The 5kHz is, as Gymlink says, mostly used for equipment in the gym. These include, for example, treadmills or bicycle ergometers.
Waterproof
Both heart rate sensors from the comparison are waterproof. The Polar Verity Sense can be used up to 50 m under water. The Wahoo TICKR Fit can be submerged up to 50 m under water.
Belt
Most heart rate sensors can be adjusted in size. This is especially relevant for chest straps. The minimum belt length of the Polar Verity Sense is 15,0 cm. The maximum length for the Polar Verity Sense is 34,0 cm.
