Polar H7 vs Verity Sense - Where are the differences?
Where are the differences?
Let's take the two heart rate sensors H7* and Verity Sense* of the brand Polar and look at the differences.
Heart rate measurement
Polar H7 works with a EKG measurement. For the Polar Verity Sense rely on the Optical technology. In general the measurement via ECG is considered more accurate. Thus the Polar H7* is equipped with the more accurate technology.
With the Polar H7 the measurement is taken across the chest. This is a chest belt. The Polar Verity Sense is worn on the arm.
Connection options
Bluetooth has become a very popular option for connecting heart rate sensors and pulse belts. Both the Polar H7 and the Polar Verity Sense offer this. The connection via Bluetooth is mostly used for cell phones or fitness watches. Some new devices in fitness studios also offer Bluetooth as an option.
The standard ANT+ less known. However, it is often used in the field of sports. Some finte watches, especially from Garmin and Polar, support the form of the connection. In contrast to the Polar H7, the Polar Verity Sense offers ANT+ as a connection possibility.
The Polar H7 offers you 5kHz in contrast to the Polar Verity Sense. The connection type is also called a gymlink. The 5kHz is, as Gymlink says, mostly used for equipment in the gym. These include, for example, treadmills or bicycle ergometers.
Waterproof
Both heart rate sensors from the comparison are waterproof. The Polar H7 can be used up to 30 m under water. The Polar Verity Sense can be submerged up to 30 m under water.
Belt
Most heart rate sensors can be adjusted in size. This is especially relevant for chest straps. For the Polar Verity Sense the minimum belt length is 15,0 cm. The maximum length for the Polar H7 is 96,0 cm. The Polar Verity Sense has a maximum belt length of 34,0 cm.
