Where are the differences?

Let's take a closer look at the two Tactikka 300* and Tikkina 250* brand headlamps and see the differences.

Luminosity and luminous range

You can find the specification of lumens on as good again good flashlight. With 300 Lumen the Petzl Tactikka 300 offers more so the Petzl Tikkina 250 which can do maximum 250 Lumen. The more lumens a flashlight offers, the brighter it can shine.

Thus, more lumens means a higher maximum luminosity. Thus, the Petzl Tactikka 300* beats the Petzl Tikkina 250 for maximum luminosity. Outdoors, more brightness is often handy. When running in the city, this can sometimes be disadvantageous, since the brightness can also dazzle.

With up to 65 m, the Petzl Tactikka 300* outshines the Petzl Tikkina 250 in luminous range. The latter has a maximum luminous range of up to 60 m.

The values here come from information and tests of the manufacturers. With unknown dealers, also called China dealers, the data can often not be correct.

The focus of the light cone cannot be freely adjusted in either model. Partially, however, the focus changes with the different fixed light levels.

The light intensity is not freely dimmable for the Petzl Tactikka 300, nor for the Petzl Tikkina 250. However, with different light levels, the light intensity may also vary.

Red light and further light colors

Unlike the Petzl Tikkina 250, the Petzl Tactikka 300* offers red light. The red light is used for night vision among other things to see better. Also to not be seen by wildlife or when fishing and not to scare off is the red light advantageous.
