Let's compare the LG XBOOM Go PL2 and the Ultimate Ears Boom 2 and take a closer look at the differences. With the year of publication 2021 the XBOOM Go PL2 is newer than the Boom 2 from the year 2015.
Size and weight
The two devices differ in their dimensions. The smaller a loudspeaker is, the more practical it is in use, of course.

Battery
The battery life is shorter with the LG XBOOM Go PL2 with up to 10,0 hours than with the Ultimate Ears Boom 2. There the battery life is up to 15,0 hours. In practice, the specification of the battery life can often be somewhat lower, since the manufacturers specify the maximum possible performance. In the loading time the Ultimate Ears Boom 2 performs better with 2,5 hours. With the LG XBOOM Go PL2 the loading time is 4,0 hours.
Waterproof
The LG XBOOM Go PL2 is certified with IPX5. With the Ultimate Ears Boom 2 a IPX7 certification is present.
Powerbank
With the Powerbank function, other devices can be charged via USB using the speaker. Of course, this is at the expense of the battery life of the speaker.
Connecting multiple speakers
Both speakers offer the possibility to connect two devices and use them as a stereo system.
Some speakers can be connected to several others and played together. This is usually called party mode. The difference to stereo connection is that all devices play the same thing. With stereo connection there is only one channel at a time. In this comparison this function only offers the Ultimate Ears Boom 2. Usually this type of connection is only possible within one manufacturer. Even then, it is not necessarily possible to connect every loudspeaker to every other one.
