Luminosity and luminous range
You can find the specification of lumens on as good again good flashlight. The Ledlenser H4R is 250 Lumen less than the Petzl Actik 350. This can be up to 350 Lumen. The more lumens a flashlight offers, the brighter it can shine.
Thus, more lumens means a higher maximum luminosity. Thus, the Petzl Actik 350* performs better in terms of maximum luminosity. Outdoors, more brightness is often handy. When running in the city, this can sometimes be disadvantageous, since the brightness can also dazzle.
The Petzl Actik 350* offers more in maximum luminous range. It can shine up to 35 m. The Petzl Actik 350 manages a maximum of 80 m in distance.
The values here come from information and tests of the manufacturers. With unknown dealers, also called China dealers, the data can often not be correct.
The focus of the light cone cannot be freely adjusted in either model. Partially, however, the focus changes with the different fixed light levels.
The light intensity is not freely dimmable for the Ledlenser H4R, nor for the Petzl Actik 350. However, with different light levels, the light intensity may also vary.
Red light and further light colors
Only the Petzl Actik 350* provides red light. The red light is used for night vision among other things to see better. Also to not be seen by wildlife or when fishing and not to scare off is the red light advantageous.
Besides red and white, some models offer other colors. These are usually for better night vision as well. The Ledlenser H4R and Petzl Actik 350 both have no other colors.

Which lamp is weatherproof?
The headlamps from the comparison both have IP certification. The Ledlenser H4R is certified with IP57. The Petzl Actik 350 is certified with IPX4. Thus there is a difference at the point. The first digit stands for protection against dust and dirt. If there is an X in this position, this is not rated. The maximum possible value is 6. The second digit stands for protection against water and moisture. Here the maximum is 9.
Is there a rear light?
Especially for runners, a taillight on a headlamp is quite interesting. Only the Ledlenser H4R is equipped with one. The rear light is usually red and is used to be seen better. This red light is not to be confused with the red light for night vision.
