Size and weight

Both speakers are waterproof. Both the Sony SRS-XB23 and the JBL Charge 5 are certified with IP67.
With Bluetooth version 5.1 the JBL Charge 5 has a newer version than the Sony SRS-XB23. There we have Bluetooth of the version 5.0. A newer Bluetooth version offers a better stability in the connection. Thus also a higher comfort in the application is given.
The function of a powerbank provides the JBL Charge 5. With the Powerbank function, other devices can be charged via USB using the speaker. Of course, this is at the expense of the battery life of the speaker.
The performance is the JBL Charge 5 at 30 + 10 Watt. The Sony SRS-XB23 has a power of 2 x 4 Watt.
