HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 vs FreeBuds Lite - Where are the differences?
Where are the differences?
The two HUAWEI brand true wireless headphones differ in a few ways. Let's take a closer look at the differences of the HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 and HUAWEI FreeBuds Lite in comparison.
What about the battery life?
A crucial point for headphones without cables is always the battery life. Here, many headphones differ and the capacity grows from year to year. Here, the HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 performs better with a battery life of up to 4,0 hours. The battery life of the HUAWEI FreeBuds Lite is up to 3,0 hours.
An additional battery in the case has become popular for true wireless headphones. Thus, the headphones can be conveniently charged on the go and have a longer battery life overall. The HUAWEI FreeBuds 3* is in front. The battery runtime with Case is up to 20,0 hours there. The HUAWEI FreeBuds Lite offers a battery life of up to 12,0 hours with the case.
How to charge the headphones?
The charging ports of the headphones differ. The HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 is charged via USB-C. The HUAWEI FreeBuds Lite has a Micro-USB connector.
The charging time of the devices:
- HUAWEI FreeBuds 3*: 15,0 minutes charge time for 1,0 hours battery life
- HUAWEI FreeBuds Lite*: 20,0 minutes charge time for 1,0 hours battery life
Unlike the HUAWEI FreeBuds Lite, the HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 can be charged wirelessly.
Many headphones offer some form of noise cancellation. However, it is not true Active Noise Cancelling (ANC for short) in all of them. In this comparison, only the HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 offers ANC.
Of course, both TWS headphones work over Bluetooth. However, the version is different. The HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 uses a newer standard with the version 5.1 than the HUAWEI FreeBuds Lite with the Bluetooth version 4.2. Newer Bluetooth versions offer more stability in the connection and also a better range.
Can the ear studs be used separately?
The right earpiece can also be used independently of the left earpiece in almost every true wireless headphone. This is also the case with both devices from this comparison. Rarely, the left headphone can be used separately, because they work in dependency of the right ear plug. Mostly the right headphone is the so called master. In this case both the HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 and the HUAWEI FreeBuds Lite can use this feature.
Are there interchangeable attachments?
For more wearing comfort and an individual fit, some headphones offer several attachments to change. You'll have to do without this for both the HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 and the HUAWEI FreeBuds Lite.
Are the headphones waterproof?
Unlike the HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 the HUAWEI FreeBuds Lite* is certified with IPX4. However, an IP certification does not directly mean waterproof. Depending on the certification, the headphones are only water- or sweat-resistant. However, a higher number in the certification is generally better. With Bluetooth headphones, there is also the problem that Bluetooth is disturbed by water. Thus, the use when swimming is only possible with special headphones.
