Where are the differences?
Let's check out the differences between the two Wearable Fitbit Versa Lite* and Garmin Venu 2s* in detail.
Release Date
There are 2 years time between the releases of both products. The Fitbit Versa Lite was released in 2019. Consequently, the Garmin Venu 2s from 2021 is newer.
Display
You'll get a display with both devices. Here, both Wearable have an integrated color display. In both cases, there is a touch display. The display technology is the same with both devices, and have a AMOLED display. The always-on display is only featured with the Venu 2s.
Waterproof
Both, the Versa Lite, as well as the Venu 2s are waterproof, and have no further difference in this feature. Both Wearable can be used under water in depths of up to 50 m. The Garmin Venu 2s even records your swimming lanes.
Battery
The Fitbit Versa Lite has a battery lasting 4 days, which is comparatively less than the Garmin Venu 2s that lasts 10 days.
GPS
Comparing the two Wearable, only the the Garmin Venu 2s has integrated GPS. the Venu 2s uses the GALILEO technology for more accurate positioning. The Venu 2s also offers you the GLONASS technology. the Fitbit Versa Lite offers you the possibility to use Connected GPS. For that, your smartphone's GPS data are used, which means you'll have to carry your phone with you. A drawback to this is the accuracy of your location since your phone's signal can be lost at times.
Heart Rate Monitor
A fitness watch without a heart rate monitor is basically useless and not advisable to buy. That's because your heart rate is one of the key elements of different calculations. For example, many devices without a heart rate monitor claim to count your calories burned too. That number will hardly be right without having access to your heart rate.
Comparing the Fitbit Versa Lite and the Garmin Venu 2s, both devices offer the heart rate monitor function and score in our books. On top of that, both will monitor your heart rate 24/7. Some devices only do that when you press a button, which is practically speaking rather useless.
Measured values
The number of floors you've covered, or altitude differences measured by your watch, can't be tracked with the Versa Lite. Only the Venu 2s supports this function.
Both Wearable offer you the possibility to record your sleep time. A sleep analysis can also be done, but only with the Fitbit Versa Lite. The Venu 2s does not have this feature.
With the Garmin Venu 2s the data is stored up to 8 days.
Bracelet
Being able to change your fitness watch band is a great advantage. You'll only have to worry about the color of the device itself, and not the color or material of its accompanying watch band. For pretty much every device, you can get cheap watch bands that will fit your device. You can make use of this advantage with both devices of this comparison.
Smarct functions
Getting call, text, or other notifications is a feature that both tools have. Often times, this feature is only possible with an Android device. iOS user can be left behind on this. On top of that, both devices allow you to send QuickReplies right on your watch.
Being led through your workout by your device is only supported with the Garmin Venu 2s. That's a difference to the Fitbit Versa Lite, where this feature is not supported.
Contactless payment
Contactless payment is a highly useful and more in demand than ever technology. Many Wearable already offer it. Being able to do this from your wrist is even more convenient than using your smartphone or a credit card. There's a difference here between the two products, as only the Venu 2s enables you to pay contactless. The Venu 2s works with Garmin Pay.
