Where are the differences?

Let's check out the differences between the two Wearable Fitbit Sense 2* and Garmin Venu Sq* in detail.

Display

You'll get a display with both devices. Here, both Wearable have an integrated color display. In both cases, there is a touch display. the Venu Sq comes with a {$tg->_pa(2)}} display. The Fitbit Sense 2 has a AMOLED display. Both devices give you the opportunity to use the always-on function.

Waterproof

Both, the Sense 2, as well as the Venu Sq are waterproof, and have no further difference in this feature. Both Wearable can be used under water in depths of up to 50 m.

Battery

The battery of both products lasts the same with 6 days. With GPS running, the battery of the Garmin Venu Sq is reduced to run for 14,0 hours.

GPS

Both Wearable feature an integrated GPS. This will provide you with a higher accuracy than your smartphone's GPS. This is generally also called Connected GPS. the Venu Sq uses the GALILEO technology for more accurate positioning. GLONASS is only supported with the Sense 2.

Heart Rate Monitor

A fitness watch without a heart rate monitor is basically useless and not advisable to buy. That's because your heart rate is one of the key elements of different calculations. For example, many devices without a heart rate monitor claim to count your calories burned too. That number will hardly be right without having access to your heart rate.

Comparing the Fitbit Sense 2 and the Garmin Venu Sq, both devices offer the heart rate monitor function and score in our books. On top of that, both will monitor your heart rate 24/7. Some devices only do that when you press a button, which is practically speaking rather useless.

Measured values

Both Wearable offer you the possibility to record your sleep time. A sleep analysis can also be done, but only with the Fitbit Sense 2. The Venu Sq does not have this feature.

With the Garmin Venu Sq the data is stored up to 8 days.

Motivation & Community

Motivation is for many people one of the fatktors for buying a fitness tracker.

With both devices you have the possibility to compete with others in competitions. This is fun and encourages you to stay on the ball. A small disadvantage of most devices is that the competitions can only be made with devices from the same manufacturer. For example, Garmin and Fitbit cannot be connected by default.

Bracelet

Being able to change your fitness watch band is a great advantage. You'll only have to worry about the color of the device itself, and not the color or material of its accompanying watch band. For pretty much every device, you can get cheap watch bands that will fit your device. You can make use of this advantage with both devices of this comparison.

Smarct functions

Getting call, text, or other notifications is a feature that both tools have. Often times, this feature is only possible with an Android device. iOS user can be left behind on this.

Contactless payment

Contactless payment is a highly useful and more in demand than ever technology. Many Wearable already offer it. Being able to do this from your wrist is even more convenient than using your smartphone or a credit card. the Fitbit Sense 2 and the Garmin Venu Sq both offer this useful feature. With the Sense 2, Fitbit Pay & Google Wallet is being used. The Venu Sq works with Garmin Pay.
